I have neglected my crafting this year and I feel more stressed for it. I know now that taking the time to sit and make something with my hands is good for my mind. Clearing away the clutter of the day and spending time focusing on making something is the best way to unwind. So I’ve made it my resolution to get crafting again in the new year. I hope you do so to. If your lacking inspiration I’ve included some ideas to Learn 5 easy crafts.

Paper craft

Paper craft is such a easy craft to learn as the materials required can be so easily to hand. You can make things from wrapping paper, old cards, newspapers and magazines just to start with. These are some of my favourite paper craft posts.

Scrap booking

This is a craft I have picked up on various occasions. I made scrapbooks when the boys were little and I’ve created a few pages from holidays.

Paper flowers

I love flowers and in the summer always have cut flowers in the house from the garden. Sdaly I can’t afford to buy them all through the winter. So crafting paper flowers is a great and cheap way of having year long blooms.

This is my craft of choice for the new year. I have had a go at crochet a few times over the years and I can at least say I’ve mastered chain stitch! But I just could resist wanting to pick up the craft again. After setting my eyes on the cute companions crochet kits. They have everything you need to make the toy and super easy instructions. So even I could make them. The only problem is choosing which to make first. The panda or the lion?
