So pleased that half term has finally come around. It’s felt like a long slog from Christmas to here, what with the dark early mornings and the terrible weather. Not to mention the OFSTED visit. Now it’s here I can hardly wait to start making with the boy. He has already requested a visit to the craft shop and wants to make some banana …
First week back at school and it has certainly had an impact on mine and the boy’s crafting time. Still we have managed to fit in a little baking and every drawer in the house is smelling of lavender.
These are a great recipe for getting some extra vegetables into your children. The chocolate taste hides the courgette and they are wonderfully light and moist.
Round up of the week, not done a great deal as I had another wisdom tooth out after a night of no sleep. Only one remaining.
We have had a very busy week this week. In between visits to the farm and the library we have managed to fit in a lot of baking and crafting.
My smarties cake is always a winner in the Cartwright household. With a quick and easy recipe and cake decorating the kids can enjoy.
This is a lazy pudding I must admit, but when people nip around for something to eat I always like to be able to offer a pudding. Most of the ingredients I normally keep in the cupboard, save fro a quick nip to the shop to get some cream.
As promised smarties cake photo, problems uploading the trifle photo so you’ll just have to take my word for it that it was amazing.
Just having a bit of downtime now, The boy is napping and I am having a much needed break. It’s amazing what you can fit into the day when you are woken by your two year old at half six and they want to do a new activity every 20-30 minutes.
