Step by step origami bookmark
- Step 1: Choose Your Paper Start by selecting a square sheet of paper. You can use origami paper, coloured construction paper, or even repurpose old magazine pages. Cut it into a square if not already.
- Step 2: Fold in Half Diagonally Fold the square in half diagonally to form a triangle. Make a crisp crease along the fold, then unfold the paper.
- Step 3: Fold in Half Again Fold the paper in half horizontally to form a smaller triangle. Crease the fold, and then unfold the paper once more.
- Step 4: Create a Smaller Triangle Now, fold the paper in half diagonally again, but in the opposite direction from step 2. This will create a smaller triangle within the larger one.
- Step 5: Tuck the Flaps Take the top layer of the paper and fold it down, tucking it inside the smaller triangle you created in step 4. Repeat this step for the other side. You will now have a diamond shape.
- Step 6: Final Fold. Fold the diamond shape in half horizontally, making sure the flaps are on the outside. This will create a compact triangle shape.
- Step 7: Decorate if you want.
- Step 8:Slip it over the corner of your book to mark your place.
