DIY Printed Gift Bags – Blu Tack Hacks

With my DIY Printed Gift Bags part of the Blu Tack Hacks for Bostik Bloggers. You can custom make a gift bag to suit any occasion and any age in a matter of minutes. Make a whole stash of them at the beginning of the year and you’re good to go no matter how last minute you’ve got to give a gift.

I don’t know about you but I find life is too short mostly to wrap presents. Especially for birthdays and last minutes gifts. But having a stash of gift bags to suit every occasion seems impossible too.

It’s so easy you can even get the kids involved. Just five things needed, most of which you’ll probably find in your house.

To make my DIY Printed Gift Bags you will need:

First cut a square of cardboard slightly larger than your intended design.

Then use the Blu Tack to create your design and press onto the card board. I find abstract designs work best, but you could do anything you wanted. Remember letters and number have to be backwards on the card to print the correct way on the paper.

Once you are happy with the design, lightly ink over the Blu Tack with your ink pad.

Place your printing block down on the paper bag and press lightly. You can probably get two prints from each time you ink. Before you’ll have to reapply.

You can use this to create a faded look to your printing if you would like.

Play around with the placement of the printing blocks to create different patterns. You can use them in line, rotate them, put them in brick formation, try reflecting the pattern or use more than one printing block.

Once completed, all you need to do is let the ink dry and admire your custom DIY printed gift bags.
