Free toadstool cross stitch
Perfect for any elf or fairy fans out there, a little toadstool cross stitch motif is today’s free pattern. Such a sweet little make and can be whipped up in no time.
This is a perfect pattern for beginners who want to have a go at a little bit of back-stitch. Try my tutorial if you fancy having a go. The main part of the pattern uses full count stitches and can be sewn in a matter of minutes.
If you don’t like back-stitch, it can be left out altogether and the pattern will still look cute.
I just love cute little motifs as they have so many uses. I made this one into a covered button. My plan was to make a whole set but so far I’ve only made one so I just wear it pinned to my lapel. Check out my tutorial on making covered buttons if you fancy having a go yourself.
