Materials

  • Four sheets of coloured card. I chose orange, black, purple and light orange
  • Foam double sided sticky pads
  • Dowel
  • Halloween SVG file

Tools

  • Laser cutter, cricut or similar cutting machine
  • Scissors
  • Glue gun

Instructions

  1. First download the Halloween file from design bundles
  2. Then adjust the file to the size you need, I went for a4 as I was cutting it from cardstock
  3. Upload it to your laser cutter or cutting machine
  4. Cut all four elements. I cut the background from orange, the spider web from black, the Halloween scene from purple and the lettering from light orange. Alternatively if you are making from plywood, cut all parts and then paint afterwards.
  5. Once all the parts are cut, assemble using double sided sticky foam pads.
  6. Start with the background orange, then add the black sider web, remember to flip it when adding the sticky pads.
  7. Then add the purple layer.
  8. Finally finish with the light orange lettering. You may want to trim the sticky pads so they fit behind some of the narrower letters.
  9. Once assembled, glue the dowel to the back securely with your hot glue gun.
  10. Top your spooky cake or place in a vase and enjoy!
