Essential Pre-Holiday Preparations

The sun has finally reached us and yet again. I’ve been caught unawares. My body has been hiding under leggings and jumpers for so long. It is in desperate need of a tune up. Whether your hitting the beach in Scarborough or Spain. These are my essential Pre-Holiday Preparations

[ReviewDisclaimer]

Skin care

Give your skin the smooth touch for your whole holiday by waxing. It’s really not as messy or painful as you may have been led to believe. I love it as I don’t get nicks and cuts from razors and once done I can forget about it for weeks. I love NADS wax strips for sensitive skin RRP: £9.14 for my legs they are so easy to use you can have your legs ready to go in under half and hour.

Then in preparation for bikini season I like to use Nad’s Brazilian & Bikini Wax RRP £9.85 I love the smell and if you’re feeling adventurous it comes with templates too!

If you fancy being silky smooth, don’t miss out on the chance to enter my great giveaway at the bottom of this post.

Make sure your skin is in great condition with Hempz Milk and Honey Herbal body moisturiser. It smells fab and is enriched with 100% pure hemp seed oil to comfort and nourish your skin.

I’m all going to try and tackle some of my worst stretch marks from having the kids with Active honey. £6.99 It can also help to restore, hydrate and moisturise dry and damaged skin. It contains 100% pure honey derived from the Chilean Rainforests and has a high activity rated at 20+. Combined with honey’s acidic nature which prevents the growth of bacteria, honey effectively assists the body’s natural healing processes.

Don’t let all your hard work go to waste by being bitten to pieces when you arrive. This year I’m trying out the Theye Mosquito repellent band £4.99 in the hope the buggers will leave me alone.

Beat the bloat

I have to deal with a bloated stomach quite often being a coeliac. Normally I can disguise it with the choice of clothes I wear. But in a swimsuit or bikini there is no hiding it. So I’m going to try apple cider vinegar complex to see if it can help with my digestion and avoid the bloat. £5.49

Feet preparation

Summer time is when my feet come out of hibernation. I always neglect them over the winter and tuck them away in thick tights and boots. So I’ll get them ready to be seen by sorting out my dry skin on my feet with Flexitol heel balm. £5.09

Then sprucing up my nails with Leighton Denny wanderlust nail polish in Private beach colour.

Tame the mane

If you are a curly or wavy like me you will know that the extra humidity can cause extra frizz. I like a bit of volume, but to tame the extra halo of fluff I love to use aloe Vera gel. It’s also great to take on holiday with you to sooth any sunburn you might get. £5.65 from Lifeplan
