Cutebee DIY Dollhouse Kit Review (Mrs Hunt Bakery)

After building The Secret Rhythm book nook from Cutebee, I wanted to try another of their miniature kits. This time I chose the Mrs Hunt Bakery. It’s officially a dollhouse kit, but if you love book nooks, you’ll really enjoy this one too. The easy assembly, glowing lights and cute accessories make it perfect for a bookshelf display. What’s in the box

The kit comes in a letterbox size pack. Inside you’ll find the pre-cut wooden parts, windows, instructions, and all the tiny baked goods. The instructions are clear and mostly picture-based, which makes it easy to follow along as you build.

You will need to provide your own glue. I used a standard tacky craft glue and found that it held everything together well, but I did need to leave things to dry. You could also try a hot glue gun, I chose not too as some of the pieces were really tiny and I knew I end up burning my hands!

The building process

This was a really enjoyable project. The small details like baskets of bread, hanging lights, and the opening font door and side section make it really fun and interactive. I enjoyed spending a few evenings working on this, seeing it develop. You could probably do it in an afternoon if you wanted to make it all one hit and used a glue gun to avoid having to wait for drying.

As with other Cutebee kits, the LED lights add a warm glow when the project is finished. It transforms the whole look and makes it ideal for displaying on a bookshelf or mantle. Light it up for an early morning bake or a cosy evening close.

Perfect for book nook fans

This may be sold as a dollhouse kit, but I think it’s a great fit for book nook lovers too. The layout, scale and styling work really well on my bookcase. If you’ve made book nooks before, this will feel very familiar. And if you’re new to miniatures, this kit is a great place to start.

Yes. The Mrs Hunt Bakery kit is a cute build with lots of thoughtful details and a beautiful finished look. Whether you’re into dollhouses, book nooks, or just looking for a creative craft project, it’s well worth a try.
