Materials Needed:

- 14 count Aida fabric (preferably in a light, festive colour)
- Embroidery hoop
- DMC Embroidery floss
- Cross stitch needle size 24
- Scissors

Instructions:
- Prepare Your Workspace: Find a comfortable and well-lit space to work on your cross stitch project. Secure the Aida fabric in the embroidery hoop, making sure it is taut.
- Thread Selection: Choose the embroidery floss colours according to the pattern. Feel free to add your personal touch by selecting different shades that complement your festive decor.
- Begin Stitching: Start with the central point on the lantern. Follow the pattern and use the appropriate stitches for each colour. Cross stitching is a relaxing and rewarding craft, so take your time and enjoy the process.
- Attention to Detail: Pay close attention to the direction of your stiches, you should have the bottom arms of the crosses all going in the the same direction.
- Framing Your Art: Once you’ve completed the cross stitch pattern, carefully remove the fabric from the hoop. Trim any excess fabric, leaving a small border around the design.
