My floss is stored in the plastic containers. I have 4 of those and also the extra skeins go in the nuts and bolts cabinets. I have a few of those too! It’s pretty organized as long as I put them all back when done a project. I quite like the “royal embroidery box” that is beautiful.
I keep the threads I am using on the present project in a basket with holes in it, the kind you can get at the dollar store. When I am finished with the thread color I attach the leftover thread to one of the holes in the basket for future use. I also keep a pair of clippers on hand, my needle minder is attached to the basket with velcro or sticky tape, as well as my project. It hides well on the side of my couch and if anyone comes over, I can skoot it to the back of my couch out of sight!
