How to make a beaded bobby pin

If you've got long hair, you no doubt have a few bobby pins knocking around in your bathroom drawer. I seem to have ended up with a ton recently. So rather than just confine them to being hidden away in my hair. I thought I'd try out decorating a few. This is my first bobby pin tutorial. How to make a beaded bobby pin.

How to make a beaded bobby pin
You will need some thin gauge jewellery wire, some seed beads in a colour of your choice and a bobby pin.

Cut around 30 cm of wire and thread onto it 10 seed beads. Push them to the middle of the wire and secure by twisting to make a loop.

Continue to add ten beads and twisting to secure the loop until you have 5 loops.
Arrange the loops so they are evenly spaced and a good shape
Use the remaining wire ends to secure to the closed end of your bobby pin, wrapping the wire so that no sharp ends are exposed.
You could even try adding a larger bead for the centre of the flower.

Or if you didn't want to make a beaded bobby pin. You could use the same technique to make a bouquet or button hole. Just leave the wires longer. Once you have made a bunch of them. Wrap the wires with florist tape to secure into the bouquet. This is one I made for my Mum last mother's day.
