Free Valentine’s Zentangle colouring page
I just had to share with you my free valentines Zentangle. Perfect for crafting, mindful activities or just to get 10 minutes peace from the kids.

You may already know of my love of colouring in and the benefits I have found in my reducing stress. I’ve recently got into colouring mandalas and zentangles, as I love the repetitive nature of them.
So, I was inspired to create a new one. Since we are heading towards February I thought I would make a romantic / heart themed one.
In case you have no idea what I am talking about here’s a quick low down on my favourite colouring pages.
What is a Mandala?
Mandala literally means circle and they are are used as spiritual symbols in Hinduism and Buddhism. They often combine squares and circles and then can be used as a focus in meditation.
They have become popular in the mindfulness movement and can be found in lots of adult colouring books. I have also used them when creating cross stitch.

What is a Zentangle?
Are more abstract and have an unplanned quality to them. Created in black and white they are a great thing to colour for all ages. They can be produced on paper or recreated digitally.
You can easily design your own zentangles and you don’t have to use illustrator. Which was the design tool I used to make this weeks free valentines Zentangle.
Simply draw some shapes on a page, perhaps with some overlapping. Then fill in the shapes and the spaces with lines and patterns. Keep it black and white of colour it in. You could even go crazy with it and photocopy it to make the coolest wrapping paper.
What paper should I print my colouring page on?
Normal copier paper is fine, but if you want to cut out the colouring page to use for crafts or you want to colour with paints or wetter materials, thin cardstock would be a better choice.
Ideas for colouring
Colouring – this detailed design would work best with pencil crayons or fine felt tips.
