FREE Patchwork frog laser file SVG
I have been having a real thing for frogs recently in my design work and I love combining them with my geometric designs. This patchwork frog laser file is the latest design and it uses a quilt pattern with stars and flowers as the fill for the frog silhouette.

A fun and free laser design that would look great cut and engraved on all sorts of materials and could be used in all sorts of craft and DIY projects.
Grab the free SVG file for the tropical frog at the bottom of the post.
I cut my design from 3mm plywood using my xTool M1. The design has been scored which is great if you want to paint in the design after, as I have have done.
Ways you could use the patchwork frog laser file:
- Brooches
- stud earrings
- coasters
- Table mats
- ornaments
- tree decorations

How to decorate your patchwork frog
I cut and scored the design using 3mm ply roughly 3” square. Then I used triangle prisms to lift the wood whilst cutting for better air flow and that meant there were no scorch marks, so I didn’t need to sand.
I painted the frog using normal artist acrylic paints and a fine brush, I painted the lightest colours in first and worked outwards to the darkest colours. You may fine you need two coats of paint dependent on how much the wood absorbs.
I plan on using the finished frog as a brooch, but if you were to use it for coasters etc. I would recommend sealing the design with varnish, for durability and water protection.
