Spring onion gnome (free cross stitch pattern)

Today, I'm sharing with you a fun cross stitch pattern featuring a sweet Spring Onion Gnome. Download the free printable cross stitch pattern as a pdf chart at the bottom of this post.

To begin, gather your materials: DMC embroidery floss, 14 count aida fabric, a size 24 needle, and an embroidery hoop. Once you have everything ready, let's embark on this embroidery journey together.

First, start by threading your needle with a single strand doubled so as to secure using the loop method. Of the the centre floss colour. Each stitch brings the gnome to life, adding depth and character to your creation.

The simplicity of the full count cross stitch technique allows for easy crafting, making it accessible to both beginners and experienced stitchers alike.

As you progress, you may find yourself immersed in a state of calm and focus, lost in the rhythmic motion of needle and thread. It's a meditative experience, where the worries of the outside world fade away, leaving only the joy of creation.

Once your Spring Onion Gnome is complete, you can frame it as a charming piece of décor or gift it to a fellow gnome enthusiast. Whatever you choose to do, know that your creation is a testament to your creativity and dedication to the craft.
