9 Sensational Summer Salad Recipes

As much as I love love all the comfort food from the Autumn and winter months. I relish the chance to drop some of the prep time and start serving salad for dinner. Not your boring average lip lettuce leaves and a few bits of cucumber. But 9 Sensational Summer Salad Recipes that would impress even the pickiest eaters. Great on their own but perfect combined with other tasty summer specials, like barbecue.

The first of my 9 Sensational Summer Salad Recipes has to be my Gluten free Carrot and orange salad with cumin and pumpkin seeds recipe Which is a real winner with the kids even though is has some unusual flavours. I’ve always found the children are attracted to the natural sweetness of carrots and it just looks so appealing on the plate.

The next couple of salads I’ve included are meals in themselves and make great packed lunches. If you’re sick of sandwiches.

This Tomato and basil salad recipe is everything summer is to me on a plate. Simple, filled with sunshine and aromatic flavour.

If you are looking for some protein packed salads, perfect for vegetarians. You can’t go far wrong with my Bang Bang Quorn chicken salad Which is a salad unlike anything else. Or you could try the Halloumi french bean and watercress salad recipe which is elegant enough to serve when guests come over. If you want something more carbohydrate filled then try the Vegetable couscous salad recipe. Which I have discover I can once again enjoy thanks to some maize gluten free cous cous I found recently.

Finally want a salad everyone will love and the kids can make? Get them making a Fruit salad for pudding. Summer is the perfect time to enjoy some great seasonal fruit.
