Can you use HTV on card?

If you love the ease of weeding HTV, have you ever considered that you can use it other surfaces apart from fabric? Here’s all the tips and tricks to answer the question can you use HTV on card.

I love weeding HTV much more than permanent vinyl. Smooth and no sticky ping back. After using it on clothes and totes. I was keen to explore if it can be applied to other surfaces. I was so please to discover it works really well on card.

The benefit apart from easy weeding is it’s thin texture which works really well for paper crafts.

I love it’s use with these card gift tags. A great way to use HTV scraps.

I’ve combined them with marker details for added fun.

To make the card gift tags you will need:

  • Parcel tags
  • HTV
  • Marker pens
  • Heat press
  • Butchers paper or silicone projective sheet
  1. Cut and weed your HTV designs. I used the sunflower, pencils and flower svg’s.
  2. Set the heat press to 305 f and press for 10 to 15 seconds.
  3. The heat will cause the card to try and curl, so it’s a good idea to pop the tags under something heavy to flatten them after pressing.
