Materials Needed:
Before I dive into the step-by-step guide, let’s gather the materials you’ll need for this festive cross stitch project:
- 14 count Aida fabric (preferably in a light, festive colour)
- Embroidery hoop

- Cross stitch needle size 24
- Embroidery Scissors
- Christmas cardstock for mounting your finished piece

Instructions:
- Prepare Your Fabric: Cut the Aida fabric to fit comfortably within the embroidery hoop. Secure the fabric in the hoop, ensuring it’s taut for easier stitching.
- Thread Your Needle: Separate the embroidery floss into individual strands, and thread your needle with the central colour according to the pattern.
- Start Stitching: Refer to the downloadable pattern as you begin stitching the charming robins onto the fabric. Follow the symbols and colours to bring my festive scene to life.
- Finishing Touches: Once you’ve completed the cross stitch pattern, carefully remove the fabric from the hoop. Trim any excess fabric, leaving a small border around the design.
- Mounting Your Cross Stitch: Take your Christmas cardstock and fold it in half to create a card. Using double-sided tape, affix the finished cross stitch piece to the front of the card.
