FREE decorated sea turtle cross stitch pattern

How beautiful is my free cross-stitch pattern featuring a Indian jewel decorated sea turtle!

Materials Needed:

Before you start stitching, gather the following materials

• 14 count Aida fabric (choose your preferred colour)
• Embroidery floss (DMC-310, 349, 3687)
• Embroidery hoop
• Size 24 Needle
• Scissors
• Pattern printout (download link provided below)

Pattern dimensions:

• Grid Size: 95W x 87H
• Design Area: 6.79″ x 6.21″ (95 x 87 stitches)
• 3 DMC thread colours

Instructions:

Follow these simple steps to bring the decorated sea turtle to life through cross-stitching:

1. Prepare Your Workspace:
   Set up a comfortable and well-lit workspace with all the necessary materials within reach.
2. Thread Selection:
   Choose the embroidery floss colours according to the pattern or modify them to suit your personal preferences.
3. Prepare the Fabric:
   Secure the Aida fabric in the embroidery hoop, ensuring it’s taut.
4. Refer to the Pattern:
   Use the downloaded PDF pattern to guide you through the stitching process. The pattern will indicate the colours and placement of each stitch.
5. Begin Stitching:
   Start stitching according to the pattern, starting from the centre mark indicated by the black arrows. Follow the colour key and stitch symbols to achieve the desired design.
6. Work Detail by Detail:
   Take your time and work on one section at a time, ensuring precision and accuracy in each stitch. Keep each arm of the crosses in the same direction.
7. Frame or Finish Your Project:
   Once you’ve completed the stitching, frame your artwork or transform it into a decorative item of your choice.
