Materials Needed:
Before we begin, make sure you have the following materials ready:
- Embroidery hoop
- 14 count Aida fabric
- DMC Embroidery floss
- Size 24 Embroidery needle
- Embroidery Scissors
Instructions:
- Download the Pattern: Start by downloading our free cup of coffee cross stitch pattern. Simply click the link provided at the bottom of the post to access the printable PDF chart.
- Prepare Your Fabric: Cut your Aida fabric to the desired size, leaving a few inches of extra space on each side to accommodate the hoop.
- Thread Your Needle: Select your centre embroidery floss colours according to the chart.
- Begin Stitching: Place your fabric in the embroidery hoop and secure it tightly. Refer to the pattern chart and start stitching the design onto the fabric using counted cross stitch technique. Remember, there’s no backstitch involved in this pattern, making it perfect for beginners.
- Frame Your Artwork: Once you’ve finished stitching the design, carefully remove the fabric from the hoop. Trim any excess fabric and press the piece gently with an iron.
