Holiday Packing What to Take
Holiday packing. Who does it in your house? I tend to take charge on it because a) I love a list and b) the men in my life would just go with the clothes they were stood up in. So I tend to sort it. We are planning a beach holiday this year so I’m going to let you in to the secrets that I and other bloggers have shared on Holiday Packing – What to take. Plus there is a great giveaway to win a travel perfume atomiser. Perfect for your hand luggage.

For travelling
I love to be comfortable when travelling. The changes in temperature and having to sit for hours means I often opt for something lightweight and made from natural fibres. My new dress from Sumissura fits the bill perfectly. It’s lightweight, made from linen, super comfortable and the best thing is it’s been made to measure. So it fits really well.

Sumissura is a site designed to create custom clothing. The concept is brilliant and was so easy to navigate. Either choose a pre designed item or design the shape you want. Changing sleeves, neckline and hem design for my dress. Then pick the cloth, colour and pattern you want. Finally add your measurements to get the perfect fit. I was all done in a matter of minutes. A week or so later my dress had arrived. I love it and it’ll be the staple of my summer wardrobe this year.

At the beach
I asked fellow bloggers what they pack for the beach and they had some fab suggestions.
‘Abig beach bag! I love just having one big bag I can throw everything into for us and the kids rather than trying to carry several different bags and items!’
‘A waterproof camera is a must for us! Pictures and videos of fun in and around the pool without the worry of them breaking.’
‘Definitely a kite for us – hours of fun … waiting for the breeze, building the kite, unknotting the string, trying to fly it, too many near miss dive-bomb crashes, so pack it away again! But every beach trip has a kite!’
‘We always take an inflatable like a boat or unicorn! Hours of fun’

‘Beach games! Things like tennis rackets, a ball, a volley ball/badminton net (it folds up really small for transport), ring toss and of course the classic buckets and spades etc. They provide hours of fun for kids (and big kids!) on any beach!’
‘A pillow. I love lying on the sand but I have to be SUPER comfy!’
‘A sun tent so we have UV protected shade and somewhere to chill out between dips in the sea and sandcastle building!’
‘Sand free towels, so the sand just falls off you and the towel when you use it!’
‘Nappies! I wrap our valuables up inside a nappy. No one is going to risk opening a “dirty” nappy to see if my debit card is inside 😂 it’s basically like taking a safe to the beach with you.’
‘A book! Lying on the beach seems to be the only time I get to properly read and there’s nothing more relaxing than lying on a sunbed with a good book’
‘High SPF Suncream, a cover up in case I start to burn, suitable beach shoes (Crocs are awesome for pebble beaches plus they float – don’t judge me!), a decent book in case I get 5 minutes peace, a beach ball to play with and money for drinks (cocktails) and ice creams!’
