Review Lapland letters
We rarely get any letters through the door in the Cartwright household. The few that do drop on the mat are usually bills and never anything for the boys.
So combine the excitement of getting post with the magic of Christmas and we were already onto a winner. Read on to see what my boys thought of receiving Lapland letters .

What the boys thought
My boys are currently 10 and 6. At ten I think this is probably the last year we can hold on to the magic of Father Christmas. So when he received his letter, he was already muttering about what other children had said in class.
But as he opened the letter and read about where he lived and what he had asked for. You could see he was still keen to believe just a little longer.
The youngest has no doubts about Father Christmas. He was so pleased to get a letter especially for him. Even better when he read that Santa was doing a test flight over out house.
He couldn’t wait to get to school the next day to tell his best friend that Santa had spotted and was wrapping his presents!
He wrote his postcard back to Santa straight away. Reminding him not to forget the cat this year!
Overall verdict
The letters were the biggest hit with the boys. The way they were written and the personalisation included made them very special.
The extras and activity sheets we will return to in the run up to Christmas when we need a good task to occupy excited boys.
The letters cost £5.95 and the bumper pack £2.95 which I think is reasonable for the quality of the paper and the magic created to two happy boys.

We love watching a Christmas film on Christmas eve, usually Arthur Christmas with hot chocolates before leaving a mince pie and a baileys out for Father Christmas.

We always watch a Christmas film together on Christmas Eve and that is my favourite thing, but I also love the Christmas Dinner of course!

On Christmas eve the kids get a Christmas eve box with new pyjamas and hot chocolate.

i love the ritual of christmas eve, new pjs and watching elf! then putting out the treats for santa. Im not so keep on getting the kids to bed because they never want to go to sleep!

We love to visit a local National Trust house at Christmas it’s all decorated beautifully and lovely to walk around so it’s become a yearly thing now
Ours is decorating the house and tree on the first Saturday of December with Elf playing in the background!

Playing board games with my family on Christmas eve before we go to bed
My favourite Christmas tradition is more of a Christmas Eve tradition. As kids we always got new pjs on Christmas Eve then we watched a muppets Christmas carol and read twas the night before Christmas before bed. I do this with my kids now and they love it.

My favourite tradition is the day we put up the Christmas decorations we all do it in our matching pjs and watch Xmas movies as we decorate
Putting an old sixpence in the pudding, ( knowing which one its in, so no choking) and i have always got a small gift for who gets it

Singing Christmas Carols on Christmas Eve
I love putting our Christmas tree up on the 12th of December. Going out to the farm shop to buy one then decorating it drinking mulled wine and hot chocolate for the kids x
Our favourite Christmas tradition is watching the Snowman as a family on Christmas Eve with big mugs of hot chocolate.
When the kids have all Santa’s treats ready on Christmas eve they choose a presi to open each 🙂

We don’t have many traditions but I really like the idea of opening a Christmas book on Christmas Eve. I’m planning to do that with my toddler who is getting excited about Santa this year.
My favourite Christmas tradition is snuggling up with a blanket and a hot chocolate on Christmas Eve and watching a film with my family!
We love to go to the theatre every Christmas Eve and we take my nan, it’s become a bit of a tradition
