5 amazing wrapping paper Christmas uses

I love Christmas and all the trimmings that come with it. Happily spending hours wrapping Christmas presents to pile under the tree. I love that time before Christmas when it’s full of expectation and wonder. But have you ever thought of what else you can do with your wrapping paper apart from simply fold it round a box? These are my five favourite wrapping paper Christmas uses.

Wrapping paper Christmas boxes

Got something small that would just look rubbish wrapped in paper. No time to go to the shops to get a gift box. No problem, just make a origami folded gift box from wrapping paper. Make them with a lid to keep things secure or without to display a lovely folded item and wrap with a bow. Want to make one? Have a read of my tutorial.

Christmas tags

Try making custom made matching gift tags to finish off your beautiful presents. Use a craft paper punch or cut free hand hearts, stars or snowflakes from your paper and stick onto large luggage tags.

Christmas bags

Long presents and tiny gifts are often tricky to wrap. Why not have a go at making a wrapping paper paper bag or cone? These cones are great to have on the table for Christmas lunch with a little gift or some sweets in.

Wrapping paper Christmas bookmarks

Sending someone a book this year for Christmas. I love to give books at Christmas time to all ages. Why not make them a coordinating bookmark from a leftover piece of wrapping paper. Perfect way to finish off the gift, especially when you use this beautiful custom printed paper from Pretty Gifted

Bows

These would have to be my favourite bows to make from paper. The curly one is made from a strip of paper cut into fringe and then curled with scissors as you would ribbon. Then rolled up and secured with tape. The bow is made much like a pin wheel but without the bottom section folded in.
