I love paper crafts for many reasons, but mainly for the easy access to materials.
You can look around you house and see paper everywhere that could be made into something beautiful.
Make a whole bunch and hand them against the patio doors or in a porch way.
A beautiful winter wonderland for a tiny price.
To make the giant 3d paper snowflakes you will need:
- 6 sheets of a4 white paper. This will make one large and 2 small snowflakes.
- Pair of paper scissors
- Bostik Tape discs
- Double sided sticky tape
- Gold bakers twine or ribbon
- First you need to make the snowflakes from a square.
- So fold the paper into a triangle and cut off the remaining rectangle.
- Keep the offcut paper to make smaller snowflakes.
- Fold the triangle in half again.
- Cut three parallel slits roughly 1 cm apart, being careful to stop before the end.
- Open it out and it should look like this.
- Take the centre pieces and fold to meet in the middle.
- Secure with a tape disc.
- Then flip over and repeat with the next set of flaps.
- Remember to turn it over each time you fold in the flaps and secure.
- It should then look like this.
- Repeat five more times, so you have six sections.
- Once you've assembled the six sections.
- Start to join them with small piece of double sided sticky tape at the middle and bottom point.
- Making a cluster.
- Before you join the final edges, cut a loop of bakers string or ribbon for a hanging loop and insert in the join before sticking together with the double sided sticky tape.
- Hang and admire your festive handy work.

I love these snowflakes, they're beautiful! I'm going to try them with my boys. Bet they won't look quite so good though!
