5 ways to pamper your hands

I must admit as part of my daily routine my hands don’t get a look in. Unless I need to paint my nails I rarely think about them or the condition of my skin. Surely, as the workhorse of my body, they should be deserving of more care? These are my 5 ways to pamper your hands.

Routine

For me routine is key. Once you’ve got used to a routine it becomes a habit and then second nature. So I’ve done little things like, change the soap to a less irritating hand wash.

Put my hand care products next to my bed, when I sit down to put lotion on my legs. I’ll also remember to treat my hands to.

Nails

My nails are either very short whilst I’m teaching or very long during the summer. The best way to pamper your nails is to regularly maintain the shape. Stop them becoming jagged and therefore tempting to bite by giving them a quick once over with a nail file.

Skin

The skin on your hands gets put through a lot. Try and avoid if at all possible, extremes of temperature on your skin. Protect your skin with gloves when you do gardening and especially when using cleaning chemicals.

Products

It’s easy to get swamped with tonnes of products to care for your hands. But if I could only choose one it would be the silk touch hand and nail oil from SEAMS. It is ideal for fixing my dried out hands after doing too many bowls of washing up.

My skin feels softened and nourished when I put it on, morning and night as part of my routine.

It’s also great for soften your cuticles before you do your nails. Not at all greasy and it smells delicious.

Care

Think about your hands like you do your face. They are exposed to the elements just as much and can show signs of ageing just as much too.

Maintain a healthy lifestyle, stay hydrated, wear sun cream on your hands and treat them with a bit more loving as part of your daily routine.

They will thank you for it.

Don’t forget to Pin it for later!
