5 Reasons to switch to ContentCal
I have been blogging for seven years now. As I’ve changed from a hobby blogger into making my blog earn. I’ve had to change certain things. Add in the addition of social media platforms to manage and help promote my blog.
I found that suddenly the amount of information and content I had to manage was becoming overwhelming. So I started using tools to help speed up, simplify and manage some of those tasks. Since then I’ve tried a huge variety of scheduling tools and content management. Some free and some paid.

I’ve had varying amounts of success and frustrations with all of them. So when looking at the social media scheduler ContentCal I wondered would it be any different?
The simple answer is yes (and no). There were a variety of things I liked about it and one thing that was missing for me.
5 reasons to switch to ContentCal
- It’s great if you love to work with visuals. You can drop in your images and move them around your schedule. Great if you like having a particular theme to your social media plan.
2. Competitive pricing and it also has a 2 week free trial. That doesn’t require you to hand over your card details straight away. So you can test it out and not worry over forgetting to cancel that automatic renewal.

3. You can manage multiple social platforms from one scheduling tool. With ContentCal you can plan and schedule your content for Facebook, Twitter, Linkedin and Instagram. I love this feature as it means if you have followers on every platform. You can ensure they don’t get the same content across all of your channels. Plus it’s easy to tweek and tailor for each platform.
4. You can work collaboratively with others. I know blogging can be a very solo task for many. But if you work with others or manage people’s content as a VA. Then being able to all see what your working on is a great function. You can invite people to individual calendars and set their level of access. So if you manage multiple calendars this could be a real bonus for you.
5. Organisation is a big thing for me and anything that helps my workflow is a godsend. Some of the other tools I found appealing with ContentCal were the ability to organise your posts by category tags. So you can sort, seasonal stuff quickly for example. Also you can save a bank of your favourite hashtags, meaning creating your social content just got a lot quicker in the click of a button.
So those were five things I found and love about ContentCal and that is a lot, compared to so other scheduling tools I have used in the past. The only drawback for me, was as a big pinner. Over 75% of my blog traffic comes from pinterest. I would have loved to see this integrated into the features as well. I know that pinterest are picky on who is allowed to partner with them. But I can have my fingers crossed that the option may become available in the future.
