Why cross stitch is the perfect craft For achieving that special graduation gift
I may be biased but cross stitch is a great craft for making gifts, it’s easy to pick up if you are a beginner, it has a structure that is easy to follow.
Once finished stitched projects can be made in to all sorts of great gift ideas and cards. So cross stitch will always be my first stop when crafting for a special occasion.

What is “Cross Stitch Celebrations: Graduation” and what does it offer?
Not just for college leavers, but for all ages of graduation, this book has a great range of ideas of projects you can make for your graduate. From patterns for the top of their mortar board to pennants and cupcake toppers.
Along with lots of different designs that you can customise the project ideas to make them unique to your graduate.
Overview of the book content and crafting instructions
I thought the book was very well laid out with beautiful photographs and clear instructions for each project. It has a handy section on tool and materials to get any beginner cross stitcher to get started.
Even if you’re an experienced sewer, it’s always worth reading through these sections to see if there are any extra tips you can pick up!

Projects featured in the book that are perfect for beginners
Although there are larger projects featured in this book, none of them are out of the grasp of a beginner. You can even adapt the projects, like the boarders into smaller projects.
I chose to stitch the book boarder as a section and I plan to turn it into a bookmark.
I also love the back section of the book which has lots of mini motifs to customise the projects, but are also great to stitch on their own.
Not just for graduation either, they could be used for all sorts of occasions.

Review of the quality and variety of projects included in cross stitch celebrations
I loved the variety of projects in this book, and it gave me ideas I had never even thought of making before. All of them are clearly charted, with user friendly instructions and beautiful photography through out.
