DIY mermaid crown + free templates

This DIY mermaid crown if fun and easy to make. Grab the free templates to cut the she shells by hand or with your Cricut.

You will need:

• Craft foam
• Chalk markers or Posca pens
• Small gems
• Cardboard
• Sequinned fabric
• Hot glue gun
• Craft glue
• Sea shell templates
• Scissors or a digital cutting machine such as a Cricut

How to make:

1. Download the templates and cut out by hand or using a cutting machine the sea shells from craft foam.
2. Add details with the markers, such as dots, lines and outlines.
3. Using the craft glue add small gems to enhance the sea shells and leave to dry.
4. Cut a band of cardboard to fit your head and use the hot glue gun to wrap the sequinned fabric around and secure
5. Form into the crown shape and glue to hold it in place.
6. Layer the sea shells around the crown and secure with hot glue once you are happy with the layout.
