How to make rolled paper flowers

How to make rolled paper flowers – learn how to make a beautiful, simple flower that can be used for decorations.

This tutorial explains how to make a rolled paper flower. The project is simple, inexpensive and easy to do. To make one flower you will need a sheet of paper, (I’m using paper from the assorted pastel paper pack from Ryman) and one of these cutting tools: a Cricut, a silhouette, a laser cutter, a pair of scissors

Your will also need:

  • a glue gun or pva glue
  • optional: a crease tool, a pair of tweezers or a quilling tool

Step one

Download the templates and using your preferred cutting tool to cut out the flower shapes.

Step two

Roll by hand or with tweezers or a quilling tool. From the outside edge to the inner circle. Don’t roll too tightly

Step three

Allow the flower to unfurl a little then glue it in place on the bottom with hot glue or pva

Step four

Use your fingers or a crease tool to help spread open and shape the petals.

I created these rolled paper flowers using a svg paper flower bundle from design bundles which can be downloaded for free.

There are 10 rolled flower templates. They can be used with Cricut and Silhouette Cameo cutting machines, as well as laser cutting machines that can read formats that are included in the listing.

You get a ZIP folder containing:

  • 10 SVG
  • 10 PNG
  • 10 JPG
  • 10 PDF
  • 10 DXF
  • 10 EPS

These files are ready for cutting / printing and should work with almost any cutting machine (Cricut, Silhouette, Brother’s, ets). Then you just need to upload and alter the image size inside your software to suit your needs.

  1. Found them really hard to make, a video on how to roll them would of been helpful, came out looking like a little basket instead of a flower! Really fiddly to do. Ended up throwing them all in the bin!!
