Crafting Comfort: Top 3 Stylish Outfits for Running Your Craft Business
2023 has been a big year of change for me. As I started working full time on my craft business and blog – craftcraftwright. One of the biggest changes has been moving from my teaching wardrobe to my working from home wardrobe. (and no I don’t mean my dressing gown!) Take a look at how I craft in comfort with my top 3 stylish outfits for running your craft business.

In the office
Most of my working days are spent in my home office. I am very lucky to have the whole top floor of our house dedicated to my business. Up there you’ll find my office and studio workshop space.
The days are spent mostly on admin task and photography. So if you were a fly on the wall you’d find me sat (and stood) at my desk!
Comfort is the key to what I choose to wear but I still want to look good on the school run. So my go to outfit will normally be a combination of jeans and a jumper.
I love these lift and shape jeans in dark blue, they are so comfortable to spend my days in and make my legs look great. Which can be a bit tricky when you’re only five foot three. And go with everything in my jumper collection, including my favourite dinosaur jumper from Sugar Hill Brighton.

Evening and weekend crafting
Like a lot of people I like to get into something extra comfy in the evenings and for relaxed weekends. This is when most of my crafting takes place. You’ll usually find me curled up in a chair somewhere cross stitching. These everyday high waisted leggings feel like a second skin. Perfect for me to fold up my legs and get into mindful sewing.
To complete my weekend crafting outfit, I’d normally go for something like my oversized urban outfitters Cardigan in fuchsia and my favourite band t-shirt (currently is my Killers one)

Craft networking
On the rare occasion I now have to leave home for work and meet other people face to face. Sometimes for networking or business lunches, I like to get a little more polished. Choosing stylish outfits helps me promote my craft business.
I still like to be comfortable and I love to pick clothes that make me look good as well as feel good.
My stomach can often ben uncomfortable as I have the chronic condition coeliac disease. So I make careful picks on trousers that will feel nice to wear even if I’m bloated and still be flattering.
These Cigarette trousers in the colour sand tick all those boxes for me. They elevate any outfit and make me feel very professional. Every time I wear them I get lots of compliments, plus they have pockets!
