Draw and Cut the Star:

  • Use a pencil to draw around the star shape on the cardboard. Cut out the star shape carefully.

Start Wrapping Yarn:

  • Secure the end of the yarn on one of the star’s points with a dab of glue or simply hold in place with your thumb. Start wrapping the yarn around the star, covering the entire surface. You can switch colours for a more vibrant look.

Secure Ends:

  • Once you reach the end of a yarn strand or want to change colours, secure the end by tying or with a bit of glue on the backside of the star. Start the new colour in the same way, making sure to hide the knots and ends on the back.

Wrap Until Fully Covered:

  • Continue wrapping the yarn until the entire star is covered.

Trim Excess Yarn:

  • Once the star is completely covered, trim the excess yarn and secure the end by tying or with a final dab of glue.

Add a Hanging Loop (Optional):

  • If you want to hang your yarn-wrapped star, you can attach a loop of yarn or ribbon to one of the points.

Final Touches:

  • Inspect your yarn-wrapped star and make any adjustments as needed. Ensure that all ends are secured and that the yarn is evenly distributed.
