FREE Cherry cross stitch keychain pattern
I love cross stitching on other materials as well as aida and even weave. So I designed this cherry cross stitch keychain pattern.

Pattern dimensions
- Grid size 9w x 10h
- Design area 0.64” x 0.71”
- 4 DMC thread colours
I’ve stitched it on a wooden blank keyring I got in a pack from Baker ross, but it would also work well on plastic canvas. It’s so simple to make your own embroidered keychain that I really don’t need to write you a tutorial. But I will give you my top tips when making a keychain.
There are five rows left at the top of my wooden keyring which you could fill with an additional pattern. If you want to make it from plastic canvas just cut the canvas to exactly the size of the chart, plus one row.
Top tips for stitching keychains
- Always look for charts that use full count stitches, no fractional or half stitches.
- Use a needle the right size for the wooden or plastic canvas.
- Use the loop method to start your stitching
- To finish thread your ends under the stitches at the back for a neater finish
- Double your thread for a fuller appearance.
- Try stitching with wool for different textures.
