FREE Christmas Gonks Trio Cross Stitch Pattern *updated

I’m sharing a free cross-stitch pattern featuring everyone’s favourite holiday companions. A Trio of Christmas Gonks. These charming gnomes are sure to add a touch of fun to your holiday décor, and the best part is that you can create them yourself with my easy-to-follow cross-stitch pattern. *Now updated! Choose without or without backstitch patterns.

Pattern dimensions:

• Grid Size: 90W x 52H
• Design Area: 6.29″ x 3.57″ (88 x 50 stitches)

Materials Needed:

1. 14 count Aida fabric (preferably in a light, festive colour)
2. Embroidery hoop
3. size 24 Cross-stitch needle
4. Stranded DMC embroidery floss
5. Embroidery Scissors
6. Gonk pattern printout (downloadable at the bottom of this post)

Instructions:

Step 1: Download and Print the Gonk Pattern Click the link provided above to download the free Christmas Gonks Trio cross-stitch pattern. Once downloaded, print the pattern onto A4 paper.

Step 2: Prepare Your Fabric Place the Aida fabric in your embroidery hoop, ensuring it’s taut. This will make it easier to work on and create neat stitches.

Step 3: Thread Your Needle, separate the embroidery floss into individual strands, following the pattern’s colour guide. Thread your needle with the first colour you’ll be using.

Step 4: Start Stitching Begin stitching following the pattern’s instructions. Each square on the pattern represents a cross stitch on the fabric. Take your time and enjoy the process.

Step 5: Switch Colours as needed refer to the pattern for colour changes, and switch your thread accordingly. This will bring your Christmas Gonks to life with vibrant and festive colours.
