I have had a lot of comments and messages asking what Palmers products were curly girl approved? So I thought I'd do some research and this is the full list of Curly girl approved Palmers products and alternatives.

Unfortunately I soon discovered that overall Palmer's products are not suitable for followers of the Curly Girl Method.
This is because they use ingredients such as harsh sulphates, silicones and waxes that work against the promotion of healthy curls. It doesn't mean that they are safe products to use, but if you want to see the best results in your curl health and shape. I wouldn't recommend using them.
So, of all the Palmers products there were only two that would be suitable if you are following the curly girl method.
They are:
Palmer's Natural Fusions Ceramide Monoi Hair Food Oil £9.13 which I do own and have used, but tend to find a little heavy for my hair.
Plus the Palmers Manuka Flower Honey Leave in Conditioning Cream £6.99 which I haven't used but it does good with the amla oil and cocoa butter in it.
Alternative shampoos (Low poo )
If you don't like simply co-washing and have to have a little lather in your life. Opt for a low poo one, that won't strip your hair.
I'm currently using the Only Curls cleanser. £16.00 You can read my full review of Only Curls products here.
Or when my hair is feeling really dry I go for the Shea Moisture Coconut and Hibiscus Curl and Shine Shampoo £8.99
Alternative conditioners
The Curl company do a great range - but you need to check the ingredients. As not all of their products are curly girl method approved. I love the sulphate free conditioner £5.99and the leave in conditioner £6.99. You can read my full review of The Curl Company here.
As with the low poo's I love Shea Moisture Coconut and Hibiscus Curl and Shine Conditioner £9.95
I haven't used Garnier Ultimate Blends The Colour Illuminator Conditioner with Moroccan Argan oil £6.75 for a while, but it's a great conditioner for a good price and you can pick it up virtually everywhere.
Alternative treatments
I regularly give myself a weekly hair mask and my favourite one currently is
Banana Hair Food by Garnier Ultimate Blends £9.89 which smells amazing and is quite often on offer too!

Deep conditioning once a week and using a glycerine free hair gel to lock in the moisture.
