DIY Cardboard Box Gingerbread Houses (+Free Templates)

Instead of using edible materials, you can create a charming and reusable gingerbread house cardboard box house with ease. My step-by-step guide walks you through the process, complete with a free DIY cardboard gingerbread house template. You’ll find both SVG and PDF cardboard templates to make cutting simple and accurate.

Materials needed:

1. Cardboard boxes flattened
2. Craft knife or cutting machine such a Cricut or laser cutter
3. Pencil
4. glue
5. White chalk pen
6. Free gingerbread house templates (SVG or PDF)

Step 1: Gather your materials

Collect all the materials listed above. Prepare a spacious and well-lit crafting area to make the process smooth and enjoyable.

Step 2: Download the free templates

Download the free gingerbread house templates in both SVG and PDF formats at the bottom of this post. These templates will serve as a guide for cutting the cardboard pieces accurately by hand or for uploading to your machines design space.

Step 3: Print and cut the templates
