DIY Photo Booth Props How To
You’ll probably know by now that hubby and I have just launched our new business www.vintagelenshire.com which is a Caravan photo booth for hire.
We’ve completed the restoration of Betty a 1960’s Bailey Maru Caravan and now we’ve moved on to the fun stuff of filling her with props. With a tight budget we are making a lot of them ourselves.
So I thought I’d share my latest DIY photo booth props in a how to post.
DIY Photo Booth Props How To
To make a giant crepe paper flower you will need:
• Gorilla White tape
• Pink crepe paper
• Scissors
• A chopstick or wooden dowel
1. Use the template to draw around and cut out roughly 30 petal shapes
2. Cut a square of crepe paper and use it to cover the ball of cotton wool placed on the end of the chop stick, securing with Gorilla white tape.
3. Gently pull each petal across it’s width to make them curl, then tape them in place. Close to the bud to start then rising up.
4. Once you’ve taped all the petals in place. Use a pencil to curl the petals inward to give a peony look to your flower.
5. Pose and enjoy your giant flower.
To make a selfie photo booth sign you will need:
• Gorilla wood glue
• Ply board
• Chalkboard paint
• Posca white marker
• A paintbrush
• A chopstick or wooden dowel
1. Cut the ply board to the size and shape you want.
2. Paint with chalkboard paint on one side and leave to dry.
3. Use the gorilla wood glue to attach the chopstick to the back and leave to dry.
4. Use the marker to write your selfie sign.
5. Pose and take pics with your new sign.
