Free Weather Needle Minders SVG File

I love a project that combines my love of sewing with laser crafts. This fabulous free Weather Needle Minders SVG file does just that. Inspired by my stitching a temperature tracker, I wanted some accessories to match the theme. So was born, a little cloud and sunshine design, perfect for keeping your needle safe.
The Design:
The free Weather Needle Minders SVG file has two delightfully simple designs that captures the essence of the changing weather. Enjoy the sunshine or wrap up warm with the cloud.
Materials and Machines:
To ensure the best results, I recommend using 1.5 mm plywood as your material of choice. The thickness means you get a good magnetic pull through the wood. I personally used the Mr. Beam Dreamcut X for this project, but fear not if you own a Glowforge or Xtool – our design is compatible with these machines as well. The versatility of this free SVG file makes it accessible to a wide range of crafting enthusiasts.
Assembling the needle minder:
You will need:
- 1.5mm laser plywood
- A laser cutter / engraver or your choice
- The svg file download
- Two Neodymium Magnets
- A hot glue gun
- Download the file and upload to the design space of your cutter.
- Resize if needed.
- Cut and engrave the design
- Remove from the laser cutter and clean edges if needed.
- Using the hot glue gun glue one of the magnets to the centre back of your needle minder
- Use the other one to secure it to your fabric from the back.
- The place your needle on the front of the needle minder and never lose it again!
