How to get 15 minutes peace

I know you have spent more time with your children recently then you could have ever possibly imagined. 24/7 and they are always just there. As much as you love them, you are wondering how you can just have 15 minutes peace.

Drink a cup of tea in silence and daydream about what you’ll do when this is all over. So, you’ve exhausted all your ideas of how to keep the kids entertained and you don’t want to have to print out one more sodding thing. I may just have the solution for you!

*This has been updated from a previous post.

This is the perfect solution and it works with most ages up to 11, I would say. Everyone loves a hunt, whether it’s at Easter or playing pirates. This hunt we have themed around animals and I call it the safari. You can also do a nighttime version, with torches if you really are desperate for some peace.

Basically, depending on your child’s age, hide a load of plastic animals around the garden.

The older the child the harder they are hidden and the more they have to find. You could also make a tick list or a tally chart if you were so inclined. Perhaps a bit of maths could creep in here if you’re desperate to do some extra homeschooling.

Top tip

If you are really in dire need of a little extra peace tell them there is one more than there actually is and they’ll looking all afternoon!

I hope this helps in you getting the kids to have fun this Summer and letting you have a  chance to sit down with a cup of tea.
Do you have any great tips on getting a bit of peace? I’d love you to share them.
