Review: Elizabeth Bradley Holly Starter Kit
If you’re looking for a festive needlepoint project, the Elizabeth Bradley Holly Starter Kit is a fantastic choice. Featuring a charming and traditional design, this kit is perfect for beginners who want to try their hand at needlepoint while creating something truly seasonal.
What’s inside?
The kit comes with everything you need: a printed canvas, yarn, needle, threader and clear instructions. I particularly appreciated the combination of the printed fabric and the chart. It made it easy to follow the pattern while providing a helpful visual reference to keep me on track.
Switching from embroidery floss to yarn took a little getting used to, the holes are a little harder to see as you fill in the design, so I just needed to make sure my glasses were on hand!
The thicker texture of the yarn gives the finished stitches a wonderful fullness and dimension that really enhances the design.
I haven’t quite decided on the final use for my completed Holly design, but I’m leaning towards turning it into a unique glasses case or a decorative bell pull for the holidays.
