Room Upgrade Ideas: How You Can Elevate Any Room with Photowall
Here’s how you can elevate any room easily with Photowall.

I have previously worked with Photowall on my diy bedroom makeover, using their mural wallpaper. So I was delighted to be asked to work with them again. This time, I’ve avoided the wallpaper as my new house doesn’t have straight wall in sight. Instead I’ve opted to upgrade three rooms with a selection of their amazing canvas prints.
How it works
Photowall is a great one stop shop for choices on how to elevate any room. Their canvas prints can be used as a focal point in the living room or dining room, or even to create a calming ambiance in your bedroom.
The first step is to find the perfect image for the room of your choice. I originally had in mind, my bedroom, my youngest’s bedroom and our guest bathroom.
Search tips
For these three rooms, I had a key word in mind which helped me narrow down my focus.
- For my bedroom – blue, as I wanted it to go with the new blue velvet bed I had bought
- For my sons room – space, as he’s moving out of some of his younger tastes and I wanted something that would still suit a room when he’s a teen.
- For the guest bathroom – pink. As it’s a very softly decorated, loft conversion.
That then helped me focus my search and I found three amazing prints. I then went through the selection choice of sizes and shapes and ordered them. The process was so easy and I had picked three new pieces of art that will elevate these spaces in under an hour.
They were created and shipped so quickly and I couldn’t wait to hang them.
New artwork
In the end my plans, didn’t quite match up. The blue liquid marble artwork I picked for the bedroom, suited my blue kitchen units better, so now I have the most glamourous utility room!

The watercolour landscape IV pink and blue, fitted perfectly on a new wall we had to create an extra bedroom and looks perfect with the natural light in the stairwell.

Only one ended up in it’s original destination, which was my sons new print, Darkness in the galaxy. He loves it and I think it will definitely be something that will suit his style well into his teenage years.

Final top tip
One of the most important things to consider when choosing your artwork, is where you want it to be positioned in your house. If you are going for a focal point, then place it somewhere prominent, like on the living room wall opposite the fireplace. If you want it for ambiance, then place it in your bedroom on one of the walls near a window so that natural light will come streaming through and make everything look beautiful!
