DIY French knitting Spring lamb ornament
This DIY French knitting Spring lamb ornament is super soft, super cute and super easy to make!

You will need:
- French knitting dolly
- White / cream / grey yarn
- Black or brown felt
- optional – White felt, embroidery floss or beads for eyes
- Pastle coloured felt
- scissors
- Needle with large eye
- Fabric glue
- Printable templates
How to make a Spring lamb
- First download the printable templates at the bottom of this post and print out on A4 paper.
- French knit a cord roughly 17 inches long. If you haven’t French knitted before you can a tutorial here.
- Once you have your cord, tuck one tack in and leave one out for your hanging loop.
- Wind the cord into a circular spiral and stitch in place.
- Using the templates, cut the face and hooves for your spring lamb from the black or brown felt.
- You can also cut some eyes from white felt or stitch some with white felt or beads.
- Cut the flowers and centres from your pastel felt.
- Using fabric glue stick the face and hooves on.
- Add your flowers to the side of the head or around the feet.
- Use the tail of your knitting to form a loop and knot close to the body of the lamb to be able to hang your ornament.
