Locks in Goodness review

I must admit this from the start as soon as the Hair Gel and Hair Smoothie arrived from Locks in Goodness for me to test and review. I was planning on pinching them from the kids.

After I had checked out the ingredients and knew they were curly girl approved. So I just couldn’t wait to try them out.

If you’d also like to get your hands on them, whether for your kids or not.

I know these products are aimed at Children, but let me explain why I just had to pinch them from the boys. Not only are the ingredients curly girl method approved.

They are all natural, vegan and even help in keeping away head lice. Which for me as a teacher was a massive bonus.

I’m always so terrified that my hairdresser would find any that I always remind her I’m a teacher within the first five minutes of conversation.

First impressions

Both the products smell amazing. The Locks in Goodness Natural Hair Smoothie almost smells like Christmas, with a cinnamon scent and the  Locks in Goodness Natural Hair Gel had an amazing menthol scent.

Getting them boys to share them with me was going to be hard.

So basically I waited till they’d left the house and tried them out on my hair.

Here are the results.

I used my normal low poo and conditioner in the shower. Then I used the Hair smoothie to detangle and comb through when I was out of the shower.

It was easy to apply and got through any tangles easily. I squeezed out the excess water with my microfiber towel and then applied the gel. It was quite runny so it covered my hair well.

After diffusing it made a good cast and I couldn’t wait to scrunch out the crunch. I am really pleased with the results, a good combination of volume and definition. Plus it makes my hair smell gorgeous.

Final Verdict.

A great pair of hair products for any bathroom cabinet. At £10.95 each they are comparable to any curly method approved product I have bought previously.

I loved them and I might even let the kids use them!

Curly Girl Method – 6 Months update
