The perfect 100 day project review (+giveaway)

My honest review of the perfect 100 day project book. How to choose, make and finish your creative project. Plus don’t miss the chance to win a copy at the bottom of this post.

What is a 100 day project

Originally started on Instagram as a creative challenge with a graphic design slant. The idea is commit to doing something for one hundred days. Many people share the process over the one hundred days on social media but that isn’t a prerequisite, neither does is have to be a drawing project. It could be anything that you would like to challenge yourself with and commit to for 100 days.

How can the book help

Written by Rich Armstrong, designer, creator and teacher. The book really helps you with the mindset of choosing, creating and sticking to a challenge over 100 days. It offers guidance on selection of ideas, encourages you to not be a perfectionist and even supports you if you don’t make it to the one hundred day benchmark.

How to use the book

Use the book to help you generate lots of potential ideas for what you could challenge yourself with. You can even write in the pages of the book as you work through your thoughts.

It offers ideas on how to share your project if you so wish, and supports you on what to do with feedback.

There is even a downloadable pdf tracker to fill in which will help you understand the impact the project is having on yourself and help you make it to the 100 day finish.

Final thoughts

The book is perfect for creatives, even those who don’t even know they are creative. With it’s fun layout and notes in the margins it guides you on an exploration of you. Why would you want to do the project in the first place, what will your project be about and how to deal with the changes it may bring. I think it would make the perfect give to someone who you know would flourish with a challenge.
