5 Crafty and easy projects you can do with an Inkless Printer (Printable templates included)

Craft project planner pages

I designed a custom planner pages for my craft projects, sized for the A4 thermal paper. I use it at the start of each month to jot down my projects I need to work on, with a handy tick space. Space to write down ideas for next month. What materials I will need to complete my projects and even space to note anything I need to go shopping for. Being digital is great, but I do love the satisfaction that comes from ticking off a list, and this is so handy to keep on my desk and make me focus as I am easily distracted.

You could print off a whole stack of these and use them as weekly or monthly checklists and stay on top of your craft pile. Ideal for when you are working to a deadline, such a Christmas which always seems to creep up on me!

Cross stitch project bag checklists

I have started organising my works in progress into project bags. My aim is to make some with a see through pocket at the front, but for the time being I am just popping my project checklist in the top. On my checklist I have got space for all the DMC floss numbers along with a check mark so I can see if there are any missing. An equipment list, space to write the project title, the start date and also a section for any notes. This could be to jot down where the pattern came from i.e. the website or if I have made any alternations to a pattern, for example changing a floss colour for another.

Paper piecing projects

I would love one day to make a big heirloom quilt, but sadly I don’t have the space for a quilting table or the fabric stash! So for now I am practicing my hand quilting by refreshing myself with a paper piecing project for a new pincushion. This portable printer is so handy for quickly printing off a whole stash of hexagons to get started with my new project.

Paper piecing is also a great craft to take out and about with you. Plus the thermal printer is lightweight, chargeable and controlled by and app on my phone, meaning if I need more whilst I’m out I can always print more straight away as I can carry it in my bag!

Embroidery templates

If you’re a regular reader of my blog, then you will know my first big passion in crafts is embroidery. Not only do I love to cross stitch but I also love to create other artworks in hand stitch. The first part of my project is always to trace my design onto fabric and this is so handy for printing out the templates I need. Because they are not printed with ink, I have no worries about colour transferring onto my light coloured fabric. And if I’m teaching a class, I can quickly print off a whole set of different templates to choose from, straight from my phone.
