Embroidery & bead bundle review
I was delighted to be sent a gorgeous Embroidery & bead bundle by Imogen Melissa to review this week.

If you are a regular reader you will know I love embroidery of all sorts, from back stitch to French knots and of course cross stitch!
I also love using beads and buttons in my crafts, so I was excited to get to have a play with this embroidery and bead bundle.
What’s inside?

So I got the pastel kit and inside contained:
12 x beads and sequin packets
2 x pieces of fabric
1 x 5 inch embroidery hoop
2 x beading needles (the finer needles)
1 x felt beading mat
1 x embroidery needle (the larger one)
2 x DMC embroidery threads
Chunky cotton yarn
1 x fine cotton for beading
1 x booklet of tips and tricks

How much does it cost?
For this kit the price was £32.00, but there are also lots of other great options in Imogen Melissa’s shop including, bead bundles, thread refills and a bracelet kit.
Skill level?
Included in the bundle are some tips and tricks, but no specific instructions on stitches to use. The idea is for you to not follow a pattern, but to play with the technique and create something unique. Because of this I’d not recommend it for beginners, unless you want to read up on some stitches before having a go.
I have some tutorials on How to do back stitch embroidery, How to do chain stitch, and How to do French knots which would help you if you’re a complete novice.

Embroidery & bead bundle review final thoughts
For an experienced embroiderer like myself it was fun to get a kit that wasn’t prescriptive, I could paly around with the different beads and stitches and evolve my own design. Which like many of my pieces of work turned out to have a floral slant to it.
The bundle was beautifully packaged and I love the curated pastel colour scheme. I would be happy to receive this as a crafty gift and I know many others would too!
